There are many roads to LiveJournal—how did you first hear about LJ?
My best friend introduced me to it...Now I just use it to keep in touch with others...sometimes, when I'm on here that is.  :)

Should church and state always be separate? Why or why not? What should the nature of their relationship be?
Yes...at least in the US because that's THE LAW.... And no one is above the law...or shouldn't be anyway.  Besides a government should tell you what you can and can't believe...that's a personal choice... PEriod, end of story

Me going to spend four days with family was pretty much a disaster... Except for Heidi (my sorta half-sister) it pretty much sucked.    I mean, I got to see Heide who I haven't seen since the accident and we watched a movie together and made peach jam (which I REALLY liked...really sweet though, kind of like candy more than jam lol...) and she was okay with playing chauffeur so I could visit the people I wanted to see.
...
Let's see...Saturday I got stuck in Chico at the Olive Garden (seriously folks?  I could've been to Utah for that one!) with a bunch of bratty kids that were part of Matt's family...Because apparently his brother cares more about his new wife, her kid, and their new twins, than his THREE other children froma previous marriage...So Matt's parents are taking care of them and MY parents (why?  someone please explain!) are helping them out... Now I understand this weekend (sorta): Matt's mom was in the hospital because they don't what's wrong with her...(she almst died two weeks ago and is still sick).  But that seriously would have been a perfect night for Shakey's!!  Everyone likes pizza...especially little kids!  But no, we go to Olive Garden and while I don't mind it,,,I didn't have to be CA to eat there.  And we got back I almost ended up sleeping on the couch because there were too many people....
...
Grandpa was supposed to be in a hotel so I could sleep in my old room (dark as it was...though i didn't sense ANYTHING creepy that weekend which is really weird, considering all the crap that's happened before.) but no, he was in there.  Cari and Matt have been bunking in Bear's old room but they did just buy a house so they're moving out...Heidi was on an air mattress in the living room but moved it to Bear's old room when Matt and Cari said they were sleeping at friends'.
....
Monday was a perfect example of the suckiness of my weekend...In the morning we were supposed to go see Matt and Cari's new little house (and I do mean LITTLE) in Chico and then we were going to breakfast... 10-15 minutes right?  WRONG.  We were there for an hour.  We finally went for breakfast at this place called Nash's which was decent and afterwards Bear's all "let's go to the park".... But it wasn't until I pitched a fit that ANYONE asked me what I wanted to do.  That was when Heidi played driver and we saw Carmen, Mr. Wolcott, Grandma and Uncle Jay, and Kathy...THAT was finally cool.
...
Oh yeah, and me and Mom had a pretty big fight about R and the Sprite.  Bitch...
...
The wedding for Katie (Candlish - now - Braga) was actually pretty for being at Loafer Creek.,,, Although a little too country even for me...But as long as you ignored the cowboy hats, the fact that the lake had no water, and the constant mention of God...wasn't too bad.  They fed us and that was pretty decent.
....
I didn't get to see Lapin  AT ALL... So sad...Seeing him was one of the things I was looking forward to most...That and eating at my favorite restaurants...  (We did eat at Charlie's before heading to the airport though, thank the gods!)  Shit just kept coming up.... He was gaming in Sac and then Nny got sick and then on Tuesday when I tried to see if I could catch him before work...He reminded me that he had classes in Chico on Tuesdays and Thursdays!  Why does our timing ALWAYS suck so bad?
....
So someone please, lock me in my room the next time I mention any desire to go home at my parents' behest.... Dumb dumb idea and I knew it too.

(This was from a MySpace community I belong to called Out and Proud)

As reported in the Deseret News, David Bell saw two children, ages 2 and 4, wandering around took them in for their protection until the parents could be alerted. The SL Tribune reports that Bell had taken the children home because of the loud noise from the party at the children's house.

After the mother got the kids back from Bell, she and Bell got into a verbal altercation-she even began hitting him before she left. As she was leaving, she told Bell to make sure he locked the door.

Moments later, adults from the childrens' house broke into Bell's house. Breaking through locks, windows and at many points. They proceeded to beat Bell and his partner Dan Fair. Fair was beaten with a tv, breaking his eye socket and opening his forehead. Bell ran out of the house to escape but was caught. Then being beaten and his head and ear repeatedly pounded into the pavement. Bell can't hear out of that ear now.

Bell has been booked in the Salt Lake County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. He's been charged with burglary and 2 counts of first-degree child kidnapping.

The adults responsible for Bell and Fair's brutal beating remain uncharged due to "insufficiant evidence". They may face possible misdemeanor charges.

***There will be a probest at David's next court date on August 21st at the Scott Matheson Courthouse 450 S State in SLC. Court begins at 9am so please be there prior to that time.

Two weeks!!! Well sort of... I have until the 10th here at stupid Teleperformance before I can quit!!! YAY!!!!!!  Glad to have something to look forward to!
...
Plus, I'm visiting Oroville in September.  the 20th through 23/24th (?) I don't know, it's only about 4 days.  Waiting for that too.  Although I had to fight with Mom about visiting Shakey's instead of Mountain Mike's...Damn new things in Oroville, sometimes!!!  lol
...
Other than that, not much going on.  I got on the council for the UWA and we're putting together Pagan Pride day stuff. Fun fun. must go.

You are on a plane that's about to crash. You have time to make ONE phone call. Who do you call and what do you say?
Wow... Hard to decide...It'd either be R or Lapin and just to tell them I loved them.

I've been around enough to know
That dreams don't turn to gold
And that there is no easy way
No you just can't run away
And what we had was so much more
Than we ever had before
And no matter how I try
You;re always on my mind
So here I am
And can you please tell me

Where do broken hearts fo
Can they find their way home
Back to the open arms
Of a love that's waiting there
And if somebody loves you
WOn't they always love
I look in your eyes
And I know that you still care for me

And now that I am here with you
I'll never let you go
I look in your eyes
And I know, now I know

Where do broken hearts go
Can they find their way home
Back to the open arms
Of a love that's waiting there
And if somebody loves you
Won't they always love you
I look in your eyes
And I know that you still care for me

Where do broken hearts go
Can they find their way home
Back to the open arms
Of a love that's waiting there
And if somebody loves you
Won't they always love you?
I look in your eyes
And I know that you still care for me

So a question then, thanks to Ms. Houston... "If somebody loves you, won't they always love you?"

Just wondering.

Per request of my newest MySpace group: the UWA (Utah Wiccan Alliance)!!!!!!

This group, I don't think I could've met an awesomer (is that a real word?!?!) group of people.  Very nice folks.  Sheila and I (new friend from Teleperformance, such a newbie when it comes to Wicca!!! Too cute) went to Liberty Park at 1 pm on Midsummer, June 21st.  We were supposed to be there at noon but Sheila was up early doing pictures for her sister's wedding and fell asleep.  No worries, I don't think people were expected to be too much on the dot.  I brought my 'donation" to the barbeque, cups and napkins...which I don't think got used because those who brought drinks brought cans!!! lol  Oh well.
...
Got introduced to the council members.  Met a bunch of people.  Dennis, think he's our de facto leader of the group was hilariously sarcastic... It was fun for me to imagine him against R in a battle of wits.  I couldn't figure out who would win. lol ;)  There was a lot of circling up.  Mostly it was just so we could learn names and a little info about each other, which we did about three times before I left, more people kept showing up so we wanted intros up to date.  A rousing game of Duck Duck Goose!!! Which I "ducked" out of...Knee and ankle, you know. They don't work right (thank the gods!!!)
...
Excellent food, let me tell you.  I was particularily entranced by this spinach salad...so simple looking but soooo good.  Had almonds and cranberries in it too.  I wish I could get the recipe.  (I guess I can always ask!)
...
One of the guys who came...Camon, I think his name was... That's what it sounded like at least.  He brought a lap harp and a set of panpipes with him.  Besides him, the one who could make the coolest, clearest music on those pan pipes was this little three year-old named Makayla (that's what it sounded like).  She was adorable!!! Anyway.  He also brought a whip (why I don't know, but it was fun to watch and he also was teaching some of the older kids how to use it too which was cool too.) and a pack of assorted blades, sparring swords, and a staff.  Camon and another (can't remember his name) took up the sparring swords (they're made of wood, I don't know what they're really called) and had a mock duel which was also fun to watch.  Sheila then brought my attention to this dude that had been hiding in the shadows, watching our festivities but right then he was focused on the two sparr-ers. A little unnerving, but I didn't want to upset the mood so I didn't say anything.
...
We had a centering circle which was pretty cool as well.  I'm usually pretty good with that so it was fun watching everyone around me expand their auras (or what I could see of them) to form this whole welcoming togetherness that right now I find hard to explain.  I recall mentioning to Sheila, that even though I didn't care what other people thought of our gathering, I was wondering what they thought of us.  We seemed a rather eccletic group and we didn't really look alike either.  But such a sense of...belonging...  Reminds me why i love Wicca.
...
Dennis had pretty much the coolest history.  His family's been pagan, openly pagan, for like 11 generations I think he said.  I find that just amazing.  He made this comment about when that Gardener fellow came out about his form of Wicca and his family was like, "yeah, we know all about that!" Cool, cool, cool.
...
Me and Sheila had to miss the actual ritual which was disappointing but arrangements had been made.  I wish I thought of getting people's email address or something but that just occurred to me now... Well, it wasn't like I had paper anyway. *sigh*.
...
Fun, fun, fun... I almost wish R would've come.  I couldn't help remembering that the kids who were there...well the teenage ones there, remminded me of that chico coven we visited once.  With the son that was retarded?  I don't think any of these folks were but this one family and one single guy severely brought me back to that night.  Or maybe it was just becuase teenagers are dumb in general?  ah well...

Vampires or werewolves?

Werewolves!!!!!  But it also depends on whose interpretation of werewolves you're working with.... I like the werewolf type that actually turns into a real wolf... And the kind that can be bitten or born!
